Mental Health

24 Oct

Let’s get talking...

Lockdown has had a devastating impact on mental health, the mental health charity Mind has highlighted a recent survey indicating the deterioration in people’s mental health regardless of whether they had mental health problems before.

So, with the worry of another lockdown looming what can we do to improve our mental health and overall wellbeing?

Taking some simple, yet effective, steps now will put us in a far better position to face the uncertain world we are living in.

Phone a friend. Pick the phone up and reach out to a friend or family member, checking in will boost your own mood and help you feel connected.

And breathe. Exploring breathing and meditation techniques will help calm your mind and provide you with a moment to reconnect.

Keep active. Exercise can improve sleep, make you feel more relaxed and increase your body’s production of endorphins.

Ask for help. If you are struggling with any mental health aspect, do not be afraid to seek professional help.

Here at London Medical Concierge we are working with our members to connect them with the very best mental health professionals in and around London. Our members are benefitting from expedited appointments, both video and face to face, where they can discuss their mental health and work with the consultant to put plans in place to improve their overall wellbeing.
