Go Gold To Support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Back to Listings
Each September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (#CCAM) helps highlight the impact of cancer on young people and their family. Every week in the UK, more than 30 children are diagnosed with cancer. 1 out of 5 will not survive their disease. Many charities across the UK are working together to improve the lives of young cancer patients through ground breaking research and support for families.
Charities are also asking people to unite in support for the cause with a variety of fundraising and awareness activities under a “gold” theme. People can join the fight for young lives against cancer show their support by wearing a gold ribbon. In this month, many people will also be celebrating the positive impact of research in childhood and young person’s cancer by sharing their ‘Golden Moments’ from their child’s cancer journey.
