Dr Alsaidi is a consultant psychiatrist and a clinical lead in addiction psychiatry, he is one of London Medical Concierge’s network of clinical experts. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act as we cope with life. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Mental illnesses are serious disorders which can affect your thinking, mood, and behavior. There are many causes of mental disorders. Biological factors such as your genes and family history may play a role. Your life experiences, such as stress or a history of abuse, may also matter. Mental disorders are common, but treatments are available. Dr Alsaidi has extensive experience in treating all psychiatric conditions including Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Alcohol Dependence, Bipolar and Psychotic Disorder Work-related Stress, Complicated Grief, and Bereavement.  Psychiatric  aspects of Chronic Pain, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Medical-Surgical Recovery.  Also of Pregnancy and Post-Natal complications. He works collaboratively with Clinical Psychologists to diagnose and treat patients with Functional and “Medically Unexplained” Symptoms. Dr Alsaidi’s practice incorporates a broad range of approaches using the latest psychological and biological treatments whilst seeking to recognise the creative potential for healing within every individual. Key family members and carers are often integral to this and are welcomed as active partners in support of recovery. Dr Alsaidi believes that each individual who needs help with mental health or addiction problems should get involved in his or her treatment through shared decision making.

Addiction Disorders

Though often misinterpreted as simple bad habits or poor lifestyle choices, addiction disorders across the whole of the spectrum can be devastating. Those affected by any kind of addiction will instinctively feel alone, isolated and frustrated – like they are the only person in the world that understands what they’re going through. Drug and Alcohol Dependency Disorders are common and can be associated with Generalised Anxiety Disorders, ADAHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Mood Disorders, Psychotic Disorders. Dr Alsaidi is a clinical lead for many private addiction services in central London. He has also been helping to establish a partnership between the NHS and the private sector to support individuals with dual diagnoses. Dr Alsaidi teaches post graduate and undergraduates (medical students) at Imperial College London and University College London. Dr Alsaidi has own private practice in London.
